This is an in-home bakery and NOT a storefront business with readymade desserts.

Payment Options

I accept cash, check, Venmo, and credit card payments through Square.

Deposits

Deposits on party cakes, cupcakes, etc. are 50 % of the total cost.

Deposits on wedding orders range from $100-$200.

All deposits are non-refundable. In the case of cancellation or date change, this amount can transfer if I am available for your new date.
If I am not available for your new date, your deposit still stays with me and may be used as a credit at any time.
Only in very special circumstances will I consider a deposit refund. I reserve the right to use my judgment and decide what is best based on the current circumstances.

Allergen Disclaimer

Sarah’s Sweets is sensitive to the dietary needs of our customers and provides allergen friendly desserts to meet that request.

All gluten, dairy, egg, and nut free desserts are prepared in a kitchen where food containing wheat, dairy, eggs, and nuts are also prepared. I take precautions to separate and sanitize between orders, but I DO NOT recommend these allergen friendly desserts for customers with celiac or other serious allergies.

Important Note: There is always a possible risk of cross contamination.

Customer Pick-Up

Once your cake or dessert goes into your vehicle it becomes your responsibility. I will not be held responsible for any damage sustained during transit.
If damages occur due to structural issues, I will asses it and deal accordingly. Structure issues do happen but often times damages after pick up are due to not taking the proper precautions.
Buttercream products must be kept as cold as possible during transport and until your event. Here are tips for ensuring your product stays fresh and undamaged.

  • Keep your AC on high until you arrive at your destination

  • Keep the product on a flat surface in your vehicle (if on a seat, you MUST prop the box up to make it level, a bath towel works great)

  • Keep the product out of direct sunlight

  • Refrigerate your cake until 30 minutes before the party

  • If the event is outside, do not leave your cake outside for more than 30 minutes or it could soften, melt, or cause bubbles.


Tiered cakes are always doweled and supported. You will need to take these supports out when you cut. Serious injury will occur if you press someone's face or body part into a cake that contains supports.

Delivery

My job is to make sure your product arrives safely at your event and will be presentable for cutting and picture purposes. I am not responsible for what takes place after I deliver.
I cannot control the temperatures inside of a venue or delivery area but will do my very best to protect your product.
I reserve the right to move, replace, and or rearrange a cake table if I feel that it compromises your cake or products. If this is not possible, I will take pictures and documentation and then leave.
Once a cake is left at the venue or place of event, it is then in the care and responsibility of the coordinator or person responsible for placing the order.

Cancellation and Refund Policy


• Any cancellations will get a refund with the exception of the cost of materials already used or made which will vary depending on your event and the how far out you cancel. 
• These materials include: cake boards, flowers, specific cupcake liners ordered for the event, any specialty ordered items like edible paint, cake toppers, and all baking materials used (sugar, eggs, oil, butter, etc)
• The cost of these materials will be calculated and then deducted from your refund 

Deposits are non-refundable.

This policy is not in regard to wedding orders. The wedding contract states those policies.
